Cream Puff, Choux Pastry Recipe

Another Martha Stewart classic.  This cream puff is simple to make and its quite the perfect party snack or dessert.  We made this into a bite size puff that is golden and precious.

1/2cup or 113 grams butter, cut into cubes at room temperature

1 cup all purpose flour

1 teaspoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

5 large eggs

Pre-heat oven at 375F, 190C

In a heavy pan, low to medium heat, combine water, butter, sugar and salt.  Cook until butter dissolved.

Whisk in flour and mix until combined and turn off heat.

Transfer the dough into a mixing bowl and mix in 4 eggs one at a time.

When a smooth paste is formed, put into a piping bag with round tip.

Pipe onto a baking pan lined with baking paper.

Count to about 8 for each round dot.

Dip your fingers with water to press down the tips from piping.

Mix an egg with 1 tablespoon of water and brush a think layer onto the dough.

Please in the oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Let completely cool before piping cream inside.
