Yellow Butter Cake
This recipe is tried and tested to be one of the best. Super simple easy to make and buttery delicious.
8 tablespoons (1 Stick) Salted Butter at room temperature
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
3/4 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven at 350F or 177C.
Butter and dust flour on your baking tray. You can use 2 6" round cake pan or lined muffin pan or a 9"x12" baking pan.
Using an electric mixer or a hand held electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add one egg at a time into butter mix until smooth and combined.
In a large bowl, sift together all dry ingredients.
Add 1/3 dry ingredients and 1/3 volume of milk into wet batter and whisk until just combined.
Repeat until all ingredients is combined.
Pour batter into your baking tray and bake until toothpick test comes out clean.
Let cool and refrigerate and decorate with icing or fresh fruits.
